Banner and Window Painting Contests
Residence hall residents will be decorating campus with Homecoming-themed banners and window painting. Look for their creations and let them help get you in the Homecoming Spirit!

Homecoming Kickoff Bonfire

Let’s kick off Homecoming Week with the 4th Annual Bonfire! Enjoy music and a free BBQ for Rutgers students (while supplies last) and then get fired up for a fun week of Homecoming events kicked off with the official lighting of the bonfire. Bed Race Decorating

Morrell Street, Rutgers Student Center
Stop by the bed race tent on Morrell Street for a fun night of decorating by members and friends of the student organizations competing in the Homecoming Charity Bed Race the following night. For information regarding registering your team, click here!

Eighth Annual Homecoming Charity Bed Race

Want to have a blast while helping a good cause? Then don’t miss the 8th Annual Homecoming Bed Races at the Rutgers Student Center when student organizations race decorated beds down College Avenue to benefit New Jersey residents in need.  Prizes are awarded for the fastest team, best decorated bed, best team costumes, and team that contributes the most diapers to charity!  This event is co-sponsored by the Rutgers Alumni Association. RU MUDDY
3:00pm-6:00pm; Race Starts at 4:00pm
RU Ecological Preserve, Livingston Campus
Enjoy a MUDDY 3.5 mile run that begins off of Postal Road on Livingston Campus and runs through the Intramural fields and the Ecological Preserve and is filled with obstacles, trail running and of course the MUD PIT.  There will be natural obstacles, water crossings, hills, tires, wall climbs, spider webs, tunnel crawls and hurdles as well as some fun “surprise” obstacles to keep you on your toes. Run for RAH Homecoming 5K Charity Race
8:00am-12:00pm; Race Begins 9:30am
The Rutgers University Alumni Association is once again hosting Run for RAH, a Homecoming Week 5K race and 1-mile Fun Walk at Rutgers. The event is a great opportunity to get your friends and family together to celebrate Rutgers’ homecoming, exercise, have fun, and support a good cause. Bring at least one non-perishable food item to donate on race day. (No glass, please!) Register online here.
